Update for those watching

The doc just came in and checked Carrie. She was 4cm. He broke her water and anesthesia came in and put in the epidural which is working very well. She is contracting hard but not feeling it now thanks to the epidural which went in without difficulty. She is resting now.

The nurse just checked her and she is a little over 5cm now.

The nurse that checked us in was the nurse from L&D Triage. I think that we caught them in report and the triage nurses come in at 6am to open triage so they didn't have any patients. Shannon, the triage nurse, was very good. She started Carrie's IV and did the initial eval. Carrie's nurse now is "Dani" or Daniele. She seems to be very similar to the nurse we had in Atlanta and has been with Carrie for a couple of hours this morning now. She seems to know what's going on.

Carrie just got a little light headed after the epidural but lowering her head a little made it go away and all is well now.

I'll be more diligent on the blogging for you people pressing refresh...refresh...refresh...refresh.
