I was able to sleep pretty well last night. I woke up and didn't know where I was! Ellis is still unable to eat anything so I have been pumping. What a pain! Its only day two of pumping and I am tired of lugging this thing around sterilizing cleaning bottles and pump accessories. I feel sorry for people who have to do this all the time. Apparently poor Rick didnt get much sleep because of this room that we are in. There is a spare computer/nurses station in here and all the nurses kept coming in to chart last night. Rick turned off the lights and closed the door but apparently they didnt get the hint! It will be my turn tonight. Other than that everything seems to be going well. I haven't been able to hold him yet because all the lines and tubes. I look forward to when I can. He is sleeping a lot because of the morphine but makes a lot of groaning noises and his little face looks like he is pain sometimes. Its hard not to be able to pick him up.
Ava also seems to be doing well. She with my MIL at her friends house. Apparently they like to watch football a lot so she is loving that. Last night they were watching the VT game and she kept doing the Gator Chomp! They are also very impressed with how much she eats. I can't wait to see her today. Looks like I will miss out on her trick or treating. Better take lots of pics Grandmommy!
